Awning Windows

An awning window is a window that is hinged at the top and opens outward from the bottom, usually using a crank.

Because it opens outward like a small roof or “awning,” it can stay open during light rain while still keeping water out. Awning windows are great for ventilation, energy efficiency, and work well in places where you want airflow but limited space—like bathrooms, basements, or above other windows.
